Public Relations and Painting Companies

What types of public relations projects can a painting contractor do to promote positive community goodwill? Well let me throw an idea out there for you? Why not join a Neighborhood Mobile Watch Program. Why? Well because painting companies are often referred by HOAs Home Owners Associations and it makes sense to help them with their needs, Also consider if you will the Painting Companies method of operations and over all business model for a second or two;

PAINTING COMPANIES: These are usually run by owner operators and have many accounts from commercial buildings to income properties and residential. Each job lasts a few days to a week and then they move on to the next job. Of course they run their businesses by cellular phone from the job sites. It pays for them to know lots of people because it is mainly a referral type business. You will be doing them a favor by asking the to participate and they normally will accept with no problem. Also they are the last people to a job site. So they tend to meet the contractors who are finishing up, carpet installers, dry wall contractors, and landscape people. All of these are also good contacts for your program. Since they understand the nature of referrals, they will also know how to refer more volunteers to the program.

You see for all these reasons Painting Companies make a really nice edition to a Neighborhood Mobile Watch Program and this allows them to give back to the communities they serve without spending a lot of money. That kind of strong community image and goodwill is not easy to come by these days. So consider all this in 2006.
