Introduction to Non-Surgical Foreskin Restoration, Tissue Expansion, How it is Accomplished

What is Foreskin Restoration - and How is it Accomplished?

Non-surgical Foreskin Restoration is the process of extending and growing penile shaft skin (and/or remaining foreskin) to aesthetically and functionally resemble a man's first, natural foreskin. The extension and growth of new skin is absolutely possible. New skin cells are forced to grow by applying some form of tensioning / pulling device to the shaft skin. With constant and consistent application of the chosen restoration method, in other words - with tension constantly being applied to one area of skin, new skin cells grow as a result of it's expanded (stretched) condition.

The medical profession uses a similar principle. In plastic surgery, for example, a doctor may place a balloon device under an area of skin on a patient, and slowly over a period of time inflate the balloon to expand and grow skin tissue surrounding the inserted device.

Many men come to the FRC chatroom and ask "how do I restore my foreskin?" or "How can I be growing foreskin." Non-surgical restoration is always the most preferrable method - and provides the most natural, normal looking restored foreskin. There are however, surgical options available, although they come with risk and results are not generally very successful. Consider the time it takes you to restore non-surgically as a healing process.

Confused by all this? (Specific methodologies can be found at the FRC Site, located at http://foreskinrestorationchat.info - a not-for-profit site)

We see new restorers at FRC all the time. They read through all the information on the net, and get overwhelmed. The primary source of concern always seems to revolve around "what method should I start using to restore?"

Regarding the method you chose to use to restore: it's not uncommon to try two or three different methods or/and devices (commercial or not) before a foreskin restorer ("FR") finds the method that works best for them in:

- Comfort
- Practicality of use
- Ease of fitting method/device into lifestyle
- Ability to tolerate prolonged consistent use

Many devices to restore foreskin are simply impossible to wear to bed, for example. So spend some time examining comparison charts (easy to find out there online!) so that you can decide what method you will try first.

NOTE: Most beginners start with the "T-Tape" method as it is the simplest to make at home, for virtually no cost, and is an effective tried and tested method of restoring your foreskin. But you may not like having to use tapes... if that's the case then you must resort to investigating tapeless non-surgical "tuggers".

Depending on what method you decide to use to start growing your foreskin, you should check in the FRC Link Directory in the "specific methods of restoration" section to search for the specific instruction sets for the method you have chosen, or if you have purchased a commercial device, be sure to consult the manufacturer's website.

So being new to foreskin restoration doesn't have to be complicated! Simply: research the methods comparison chart, decide on which method may suit your lifestyle/speed of growth desired/ease of use/discretionary needs, etc. Then go to a directory and search for the specific method of restoration you have chosen. If you cannot locate your particular method's instruction guides, then simply do a 'scrub the web search for the method or device you have chosen.

Read and study all the postings, diaries and materials you can online written by restorers who are using the same method as you. You can never learn enough about this delicate process, and the more you know about what you're doing - exactly - the less likely you are to fail in your pursuit of a restored foreskin!
