Antique woods come in different lengths and widths. Real antique woods have cracks, knots, nail holes, worm and insect tracks, etc., which can be repaired so that the floor looks new. Antique wood flooring is obtained from old buildings that are being demolished. These can typically be found in old factories, cotton mills, warehouses, etc., especially those that from the 1800s. The wood from these buildings is taken and custom-milled into various sizes of panels meant for floors, doors, stair parts, mantels, etc.
