Heres what Ive uncovered about faces and hair styles: The thin face: Having curls or thick wavy hair at the sides will help to widen a narrow face. The chubby round face: A simple side parting in the hair will slim down and appear to lengthen any moon face. The caricature Chin (Strong or square): Short curly hair is best here or fullness at the crown. Both styles will take the attention away from the prominent chin. The Narrow Chin: Longish hair here that is full at chin level will help to balance a narrow chin. Large Snout: A big hairdo or upswept crown will make the nose much less noticeable. The Triangular Head: Only a curly or wavy job will really soften a sharply defined cheekbone, nose or jaw line. The High forehead: A horizontal line of full bangs (fringes) to cover the forehead will help to balance the face. The Low Forehead: Simple vertical lines and a soft fullness around the crown area will appear to lengthen the face. So there we have it.
