Unleashing The Power Of The Mind

Well known studies done by Dr. Masaru Emoto from Japan have shown that when vials filled with water had taped to them different words i.e. "love", "peace", "happiness", "anger", "fear" etc. and then frozen overnight the crystal patterns that formed consistently correlated with the words attached to them.

Dr. Emoto's famous experiments conclusively reveal the extent to which words as well as thoughts and emotions have direct physicochemical effects on water. In other words our consciousness has the power to directly affect the physical/chemical orientation of water molecules around us and "inside us" at every moment.

What impact does this have on the mental, emotional and physiological state of our bodies at any moment? Well in order to assess that I suggest that we do a simple yet revealing experiment right now, if you wish.

Take two words a) Love, and b) Anger

Now sit quietly for a moment with your eyes closed and just take several comfortable deep breaths and allow yourself to relax. Once you are sufficiently relaxed simply think the word "Love".

As you do notice what changes you experience in your mind and body. Do this for a few minutes to allow the experience to emerge.

Once you have a sense of your experience then write it down describing it in as much detail as you can.

Once you have done that then again close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and relax. Then think the word "Anger" and focus your attention again on your mind and body noticing your experience of this word on your inner state.

Again allow this experience to emerge over a few minutes. Again write it down describing your experience in as much detail as you can.

Now compare the two experiences.

I will relate commonly reported experiences here to illustrate my point.

Love:

Most individuals experience a feeling of happiness, joyfulness, contentment, lightness, clarity of mind, inner peace, a sense of calmness, expansiveness, energized, feeling supported, feeling connected to something larger than themselves, feeling relaxed and occasionally the disappearance of nagging physical symptoms i.e. headaches, muscle pains etc.

Anger:

Most individuals report feeling tense, uncomfortable, drained of energy, a sense of vulnerability, anxious, fearful, out of control, lacking concentration, unable to stay focused, the onset or recurrence of physical symptoms, a general feeling of heaviness and so on.

These two sets of experiences were evoked simply by "thinking" the words in question. The thoughts then cascaded throughout the mind and body eliciting the states themselves.

Although the mechanisms by which the actual states manifest themselves (i.e. psychoneurophysiological, psychoneuroimmunological etc.)are multifold, we now know, according to Dr. Emoto's work that a direct effect at the molecular level is also present.

Hence the power of the mind to determine one's experience at any moment is clear at many levels. The impact of negative thoughts and emotions clearly, as noted above, creates a state that is detrimental to one's ability to function and to one's overall health and well being.

What's more interesting is that many of us simply go on accepting such negative experiences as a normal and necessary part of life. Well, what impact is that "belief" having on your life? I'm sure if you reflect on it you'll see that it too is killing you!

I want you to know that negative beliefs and the ensuing negative emotions that follow not only are not normal or necessary but that they can be erased from within you quickly and permanently, just like erasing old and outdated software from the hard drive of your computer.

How does that feel? Take a moment and reflect on it.
