Spa Breaks For Action!

Spa breaks for action? Sounds like a mixed metaphor, doesnt it? Well, yes, taking time to nurture yourself, relax in a supportive environment and just be for a few days each month can contribute lots of space for new ideas and creativity to flow. Come to think of it, you can organize a spa break within each day or each week also!

In this busy Western culture of ours, the doing thing comes automatically to most of us. Taking down time for rest and relaxation seems lazy and or unproductive, when, in fact, it is actually a way to regroup, refuel, and renew energy for the next projects.

Have you clarified what youd like to be doing by the end of this year? Are you on track in that direction? Is there something niggling at your inner creative space that wants to be born as you are reading this?

As life coaches, we take so much pleasure in supporting our clients into the next phase of their lives. Whether it be to change careers, purchase a vacation home, create a piece of art, write and publish a book or some other dream unique to them, we have the privilege of walking along the path as cheerleader mostly, sometimes mentor and sometimes task master as they move ahead one small action at a time. What does this have to do with the spa you might ask? We know that taking time to nurture yourself (whether it be your inner artist, inner speaker, inner gardener, inner politician or the inner thing unique to you) provides exactly the space from which clarity can flow.

Are you ready to be clear? Would you like to decide which of the many ideas you have is most aligned with your purpose? Speaking with a life coach can provide needed clues. That is the reason weve chosen to offer a no cost conversation with the coaches the first Monday of every month. Its our pleasure to support others and facilitate a virtual community over the telephone where people support each other; the resource box below provides details. And, in the meantime, if its not feasible to leave home to attend your favorite spa today, create a spa environment by setting aside a couple of hours in a relaxing space where you can be uninterruptedhave paper handy and just sit. Breathe. Appreciate. Count your blessings. Ideas will flow and youll see that taking a spa break really does lead to authentic action ideas (even if its just taking out the trash first to clear the path).

Regardless of the season of the year, you can always invent a reason for a new beginning, a fresh start, a variation on your theme. Yes you can live the life of your dreams. Yes you can bring forth that contribution you are uniquely suited to do. Saying, Yes to it all is a start and, in addition to the many active ways you say yes, consider the spa break as well.
