Following two seasons in League One's top four and an agonising play off final defeat last season there have been wholesale changes at Griffin Park in time for the new campaign,

The club have appointed Torquay manager Leroy Rosenior to succeed Martin Allen, who departed for MK Dons in May. Rosenior staged a successful relegation fightback last season with the Seagulls and left Plainmoor after almost four years in charge.

Rosenior has been busy in recruiting new faces and made striker Jo Kuffour, who worked with him at Torquay United, his first signing. He may partner him with former Dagenham & Redbridge striker Chris Moore who started his career as a trainee at Brentford. Now 26, Moore rejected a new contract at Dagenham, where he scored 44 goals in 98 Conference matches and was chased by a number of other clubs, including Conference new boys Weymouth.

He has also signed former Bournemouth defender Adam Griffiths on a one year deal. The Australian made seven appearances for the Cherries following a move in January from Watford before being released in the summer.

Many of last season's squad have departed the club, including central defensive pairing Sam Sodje to Reading and Michael Turner to Hull City for 350,000 apiece. Highly rated midfielder Jay Tabb has left for Coventry City for an undisclosed fee. Tabb earned his first senior call up for the Republic of Ireland to face Chile in a friendly last season.

Verdict
A host of talent has departed Griffin Park and there will be question marks over whether Leory Rosenior can cut it in a higher division following a difficult campaign at Torquay United last season. This is likely to be a season of transition and the club must avoid being dragged into a possible relegation battle.
